Project Name:
Climate Change & Education Training Program for Laos
Location:
Vientiane, Laos
Year of Completion:
2023
Sector:
Educational Tools Development and Training of Trainers
Project Summary
This specialized training program addresses the critical gap in climate change awareness and education in Laos, where climate topics remain rarely discussed in conversations, media, and schools. Led by Rgen team, in collaboration with education expert Doris Schäfer and graphic designer Manilla Chounlamountri (The Vientianist), this initiative equips educators at Pestalozzi Children's Foundation's (PCF) partner schools with comprehensive knowledge about climate change causes, mechanisms, and consequences.
The program features a unique educational framework built around the "four elements and life" approach (air, water, fire, earth, and life), making complex climate concepts accessible and engaging for children in the Lao context.
